CHEM 418 Nuclear Chemistry, Winter 2019: Lecture 0 Online presentation methods

Using the online lecture format is presented. The lectures are available as notes without audio or animation, PowerPoint audio and animation, and MP4 video. Please review the MP4 format, as it has the smallest file size and is preferred if suitable. The use of multiple formats should permit viewing of lectures on a host of platforms.  The MP4 format can be viewed with audio in Canvas.  The PowerPoint audio can be viewed after downloading. The lecture is 4 minutes.
The lecture is assigned on Monday 6 January and due Tuesday 7 January.

  1. Submitted PDF Quiz 0 on canvas. However, most of the links to the reading material don't seem to be working for me - the connection keeps timing out.

  2. I've submitted Quiz 0 and am also unable to download most of the PDFs. It's specifically the ones hosted at radchem.nevadu.edu. The one posted on Canvas (Introduction of Health Physics, Cember) seems to work just fine

  3. I submitted quiz 0, but the pdf wouldn't open directly through canvas or let me do the digital signature. I instead had to fill it out and re-save this as a pdf with no signature. Also, the the pdf reading material will not open or download for me as well.

  5. I submitted quiz 0, but the digital signature doesn't show up on the canvas. Do I need to email you a copy?

  6. I was able to complete everything on quiz 0 aside from the digital signature, and the 'submit form' button at the top right did not seem to do anything. I'm not sure if you would like us to directly email the quiz to you over canvas?

  7. I submitted quiz 0 using the "submit form" function that the pdf has, it seems to be a very easy way to hand in quizzes since your email address is already put in and ready to send

  11. I submitted the PDF quiz via email and Canvas. In the future, would using the "Submit form" option included with the PDF be sufficient or should we always submit things on Canvas?

  12. I downloaded the PDF quiz and used Adobe Reader to do the digital signature and submit as the canvas version did not seem to be able to perform either function.

Also for some reason I am unable to preview or publish comments to this via Google Chrome. Microsoft Edge seems to be working fine.
